SANITATION
In 2014, we conducted global research on business models for sanitation that combine an aspirational value proposition for low-income families and a strong potential for financial sustainability, reviewing over 100 projects and visiting and analyzing 12 of them as case studies.
Between 2013 and 2016, we also supported the Toilet Board Coalition, a global coalition of leading companies, investors, sanitation experts and non-profit organizations who have come together to accelerate innovative market-based initiatives that deliver sanitation at scale. We helped launch the alliance and its first initiatives in Ghana, the Philippines, and India, supporting directly the social entrepreneurs or enterprises implementing projects on the ground.
